If you lived here, you’d be home by now (even if it’s part time)! There are many ways to experience Mammoth Lakes. Some people camp or stay in trailers. Some prefer to stay in a condo or hotel for the duration of their visit. Many people who have been enjoying Mammoth for a long time and have come to know it well, begin to wonder what it might be like to have their very own home or condo here. That’s how the journey to ownership in Mammoth often begins.

As one who has experienced being here in just about every context possible, I learned first hand that there is really no substitute for the experience of enjoying the Eastern Sierra from your very own home base.

Something profound happens to your perspective when you have a place to call your own when here. Different opportunities present themselves. Condos and camp sites have checkout times. Without these constraints, being here just feels and looks different. Time itself feels different. It completely changes they way you experience being here.

It also means that you have become part of community with it’s values more firmly centered around a striking natural beauty and the opportunities afforded by being situated in a unique part of the Sierra.

Everything looks and feels a bit different once you own something here. Whether it’s a small condo or large luxury home nothing compares to having something of your own. Waking up on a warm summer morning or on a blue bird powder day in your own bed is a thrill all by itself and it never really gets old.

A rapidly growing number of people are now engaged in professions that are non-geographically specific, allowing them to live anywhere they choose. Others may work from home part of the time and only very infrequently need to be physically present at the work place. This means they can live much farther away from their work than they would under the traditional model. This trend is only increasing and will play a significant part in Mammoth’s future population and housing price trends.

Unlike California’s major metropolitan centers, prices in Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding areas are still, for the time being, quite modest and one’s dollars go quite a bit farther in regards to housing.

If you are lucky enough the have the ability to choose where you live or just want to enjoy holidays and vacations, there are many ownership options to suit many people. Give us a call and let me show you what is available!
