Carbon Monoxide Detectors Are Now Required in all Condominiums in Mammoth Lakes, CA “The Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act” (Senate Bill – SB 183) was put into place on July 1, 2012 requiring all existing single-family residences that contain a fossil fuel burning heater or appliance, fireplace, or that has an attached garage to place carbon monoxide detectors inside the residence. Kudos to Town Council and Staff  of the Town of Mammoth Lakes for Standard & Poor (S&P) upgrading the town’s bond rating last week to a “BB+” with a “stable” outlook from a “C”.  While recent decisions weren’t easy, they did the right thing by reaching a settlement agreement with its largest creditor and withdrawing its petition for bankruptcy.
